Chennai: Eveready Industries India Ltd (EIIL), leader in portable energy (batteries and flashlights), presented a new logo as part of its celebrations of 25 years of its tag line “Give Me Red”.

The refreshed look symbolizes more power and freedom to the youth, says the firm. The logo was unveiled by actor and brand ambassador of EIIL, Akshay Kumar.

Speaking on the occasion, MD, Eveready Industries India, Amritanshu Khaitan, said, “The brand Eveready is synonymous with power and energy. Over the years, the brand has evolved to address the needs of young India and speak their language. Twenty five years of ‘Give Me Red’ is a milestone which we are extremely proud of. It reiterates our commitment to ensuring that every Eveready product is trustworthy, reliable and authentic.”

Senior vice president – Marketing and Sales, Anil Bajaj, stated, “Even today through our product offerings, we want to better people’s lives, be it through DigiLED technology in our flashlights, 100 per cent brass flashlights, or the best in class Lumens/Watt for our LED bulb range. The unique designs and features in our appliances are few of the many technological advances brought to India in our endeavour to give cutting edge solutions to our consumers.”

Akshay Kumar said, “I have always been associated with brands which resonate with my values, brands in which I believe in. ‘Give Me Red’ is a slogan we all can relate to from our youth. I never thought at that time that I will one day be part of this iconic journey.”
