Chennai: Riding on an unbeaten 191 from Pradosh Ranjan Paul, Tamil Nadu dominated the first day’s proceedings against Himachal Pradesh in the U-19 Elite Group A Cooch Behar Trophy.
Opting to bat first, the host reached 387 for four at stumps. Pradosh, who is batting on 191 (242b, 17×4, 3×6), slammed his maiden ton of the season and was involved in two huge partnerships that laid a strong foundation for TN.
The southpaw added 128 runs for the second wicket with P Praveen Kumar 84 (98b, 11×4, 3×6) and later raised 135 runs for the fourth wicket with captain R Sonu Yadav 59 (94b, 6×4).
