Chennai: The city police arrested notorious gangster Radhakrishnan last night.

According to sources, Radhakrishnan had come out on bail and was planning to eliminate his rival when the police arrested him.

Radhakrishnan surrendered before a court in Salem when rowdy Binu Pappachan was arrested during his birthday party in February.

Binu and Radhakrishnan were part of rival gangs, but Radhakrishnan feared the way a number of rowdies were being rounded up and surrendered before court. He was brought to Chennai for investigation and lodged in Coimbatore prison.

He came out of bail a few days ago. Police got a tip off that he was going to plan a murder. A special team of police headed by Deputy Commissioner of police, Anna Nagar Sudhakar tracked him to his hide out in Kattumannarkoil, Cuddalore. He was reportedly arrested at gun point.
He is currently lodged at Puzhal Prison.
