Chennai: M Vigneshwaran struck an unbeaten 81 as Srirangam Boys Higher Secondary School defeated Alpha Group of Schools by five wickets in the Tiruchy final of the Muthoot Group Junior Super Kings Inter-School T20 Championship. With the victory, Srirangam qualified for the second phase of the tournament.

In the first innings, Alpha scored at a brisk pace and ended with 183 for five in its 20 overs. But, Srirangam was never in a spot of bother as Vigneshwaran notched up a half-century. G Madhan Kumar (55) also played a crucial role in the win.
