Coimbatore: A three-year-old leopard was found dead at a tea estate in Valparai in the district on Thursday.

According to police, the carcass of the animal was found with injuries all over the body and it was noticed by some estate workers.

It is suspected that the leopard could have died after a fight with some other animal about three days ago.

The carcass was recovered by forest department officials and a veterinarian and post-mortem conducted after which it was burnt.
