Kochi: Popular Malayalam actor Sreenivasan has been admitted to Ernakulam Medical Centre Hospital after he complained of acute breathlessness and physical exertion on Wednesday. He is 62 years old.
According to sources, the actor was in a serious condition when he arrived at the hospital Wednesday morning. He has been kept in the ICU with ventilator support and is being treated by a team of specialist doctors, including a cardiologist, intensivist, anaesthesiologist and a physician.
The actor was dubbing at the Lal Media Studios when he complained of breathlessness and was immediately rushed to the hospital, said reports.
Sreenivasan has acted in over 200 films and is also an acclaimed screenwriter, filmmaker, and Malayalam film producer. His recent film as a writer was the Malayalam movie ‘Njan Prakashan’ starring Fahadh Faasil.
