London Montessori School, located at Fifth Main Road, AGS Colony, Velacheri, has bagged ‘Innovative Curriculum’ award, at an event which was part of the Ninth National Conference conducted in Bengaluru on 19 January.
According to a press note, the school is also ranked as number one Montessori preschool in Velacheri and sixth best Montessori preschool in the city. According to a press release, the nominations were duly assessed by a jury comprising eminent educationists Fatema Agarkar, co-founder of K A EduAssociates, Mumbai; Swathi Menon, director, The Educator Development Academy, Mumbai; Dr Maalathi K R, founder and CEO, Aurro Educational Services, Chennai and Sumathi Ravichander, a Hyderabad-based K-12 education consultant.
The 10 parameters of excellence based on which the preschools were ranked are competence of teachers, teacher welfare, infrastructure, individual attention to students, value for money, leadership/management quality, parental involvement, innovative teaching, safety & hygiene and special needs education.
