Chennai: The AIADMK has started distributing nomination forms for candidates wishing to contest in the 2019 general elections. As per early reports, about 20 people have purchased the forms so far.
Chief Minister and co-coordinator of the party, Edappadi K Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister and coordinator of the party, O Panneerselvam, Ministers K A Sengottaiyan and D Jayakumar, and senior leader E Madhusudanan, among others, were present at the inauguration of the distribution of the forms.
Cadres are thronging the AIADMK headquarters on Lloyds Road to purchase the forms after paying a fee of Rs 25,000.
According to reports, the forms have to be submitted by 10 February 5 pm and no forms submitted after that will be accepted.
