Erode: Under the Nirbhaya scheme, 72 CCTV cameras will be installed at Erode Railway Station, said official reports on Monday.
Erode Railway Station is considered as one of the best and the biggest junction in Salem Railway Division and the cameras will be set up within two months.
According to reports, the cameras would come up at 534 railway stations under the Southern Railway (SR). The SR general manager R K Kulshrestha, accompanied by divisional manager Subbarao, inspected the loco sheds, the residential quarters of railway employees and also the Erode Railway station.
