Chennai: Reigning champion Loyola, along with Jeppiaar Institute of Technology, Hindustan and Sathyabama University entered the super league of the third inter collegiate basketball tournament for Jeppiaar trophy conducted by Jeppiaar Institute of Technology, Sriperumpudur.
SRM who lost their first league to Sathyabama, took Loyola in their crucial second league. Loyola boys however got the better of SRM by 3 points difference and secured the super league pool A comfortably with two wins. Sathyabama also qualified from this pool.
In group B’s final league matches, formidable MCC lost to Hindustan to go out of contention as Hindustan entered semis.
