Chennai: Fancied Jeppiaar Institute of Technology and Loyola won their first super league of the third inter-collegiate basketball tournament for Jeppiaar Trophy conducted by Jeppiaar Institute of Technology, Sriperumbudur, on their Wednesday.
In the first match, strong Loyola dominated Hindustan from start to finish. Loyola’s Mukesh, Arvind and Lingesh combined well to help their team win by 26 points (79-53).
In the next league Jeppiaar Institute of Technology boys overcame Sathyabama with a 87-80 victory. Daniel Richards and Sheldon played well for Jeppiaar Institute of Technology. The finals of the tournament will be held after the second super league game.
