Keep it simple. Keep it right. Keep it white. This was the formula adopted by a class of celebrities in attendance at the biggest wedding event of the year – The Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta marriage last Saturday.

A major fashion trend was spotted this time as a lot of celebs – from Rajinikanth to SRK were sporting the colour white with their own styling twists. With the talk surrounding the wedding refusing to die even after a week, News Today brings you a selection of celebrities who looked dapper in white. Let’s take styling cues from these A-Listers.

Idhu Rajini style
When you find it hard to pick and choose a dress for a wedding, you can never go wrong if you select white. The style samrat, Rajinikanth this fact too well and he has even revealed in interviews that white is his preferred choice of colour. In the Ambani gala, thalaivar was rocking an off-white sherwani. While daughter Soundarya sizzled in a green and pink sari, her husband Vishagan took a leaf out of his maamanar’s book by wearing a light coloured silk sherwani with a waistcoat.

The ‘Khan’ dhaan
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan exuded royalty on the red carpet at the wedding. The couple looked stunning in their all-white co-ordinated outfits. SRK donned a Pathani look wearing a simple white kurta with a white bandhgala on top and he paired it with a white dhoti style pants. Complimenting her husband, the lady Khan was seen in a sheer white-silver saree with a feathered hem and intricate silver detailing all over it.

Dishalecious
Okay, if we are being honest, what Disha wore at the wedding cannot exactly be labelled as white. But, who cares! It’s Disha Patani and you’d blurt out a big ‘wow’ with one look at her ‘more silver less white’ outfit. Disha upped the oomph factor at the wedding wearing a silver (white-ish) crop choli with embellishments and layered sheer lehenga with a matching shimmery dupatta draped like a saree.

‘Wah’aamir!
Aamir Khan, the Mr Perfect of Bollywood does everything right, and as always he did not go wrong with his choice of outfit for the Ambani gala. Aamir was seen in a simple white kurta with chikan work all over it and white churidar. A white shawl completed his look.

The evergreen Rekha
Rekha has not aged a day since we last saw her in films like ‘Silsila’. Dressed in a white ensemble with intricate, gold embellishments, the evergreen actress exuded charm. Accentuating her timeless beauty was a diamond choker. It’s not for nothing that she is called the queen of style in Bollywood. She proved it once again.
