Hyderabad: A prisoner lodged in the central prison in Hyderabad committed suicide on Monday.
The 21-year-old, who worked as a PT teacher in a private school, was under trial for allegedly harassing a girl student. He was arrested and jailed on 23 March.
A case under the POCSO Act was registered against him. On Sunday night, he attempted suicide by hanging himself in the prison toilet and was immediately shifted to a state-run hospital. However, the doctors declared him dead.
