Chennai: Six persons died when a blast occurred in a cracker factory in Mannargudi this morning.
According to reports, the factory belonged to Singaravelan and the accident took place when they were preparing country crackers (nattu vedigundu).
The dead have been identified as Suresh, Babu, Singaravelu, Mohan, Arivu and Veerayyan.
The bodies were blown to pieces and the building crumbled down, say reports.
