Chennai: Dharmapuri Lok Sabha constituency is one of the strongholds of Pattali Makkal Katchi with the party winning the seat four times.

PMK’s Dr Anbumani Ramadoss is the incumbent MP and has been fielded in the AIADMK alliance. DMK has fielded S Senthil Kumar, while former Pappireddipetti MLA is also contesting on behalf of AMMK.
DMK’s Dr Senthil Kumar is a radiologist from a locally renowned family. AIADMK and DMK had won twice each from the constituency.

The Lok Sabha constituency comprises of Palacode, Pennagaram, Dharmapuri, Pappireddippatti, Harur (SC) and Mettur Assembly segments.
