Mangaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee vice president V R Sudarshan flayed the BJP and said that during its 5-year-rule, the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre had created an atmosphere of hatred and anxiety across the nation.
The Modi-led government had failed to fulfill any of its promises made in 2014, he accused while speaking to reporters at a press conference.
He expressed confidence that in the coming Lok Sabha elections, the Congress and its allies will be able to defeat the BJP. The Congress manifesto was prepared after interacting with various sections of people across the country and it aimed at dealing with issues on the ground, he asserted.
Sudarshan further claimed that the Congress had delivered on its promises whenever it ruled the Centre and the state, whereas the NDA government had done nothing to help farmers and failed to waive agricultural loans.
Modi’s demonetisation was a big failure as it did not meet any of its declared objectives, he said, adding that India faced more terror attacks during the NDA rule, but they instead blamed the Opposition to wrongly project them as patriots, Sudarshan slammed.
