Pudukottai: In a shocking incident, three kg pledged gold jewels were found missing from the branch of nationalised bank.
According to media reports, the bank officials are suspecting the hand of a temporary employee behind it. The employee has not turned up for work in the past ten days and following this the officials got suspicious of him. When the bank’s locker was checked, they found the gold jewels missing. The missing employee was an appraiser engaged on a temporary basis for assessing the value of the jewels, said media a report.
Based on a complaint filed, the Police who are investigating the case. Meanwhile, customers who had pledged their jewels with the bank thronged the branch on hearing about the theft.
