Chennai: To conduct ballast cleaning machine work, the Southern Railway has announced line block at Arakkonam-Jolarpettai section. As a result, few trains will run late and others have been partially cancelled.
According to a press release, on 16 and 17 May, KSR Bengaluru – Puratchi Thalaivar Dr M G Ramachandran Central AC Double Decker Express (22626), Brindavan Express (12640) and Mysuru – Puratchi Thalaivar Dr M G Ramachandran Central Shatabdi Express (12008) will be delayed/regulated at Pachachakupam for about 75 minutes, at Vinnamangalam for about 60 minutes and at Vaniyambadi for about 15 minutes, respectively.
On 18 May, KSR Bengaluru-Arakkonam Passenger (56262) will be partially cancelled between Jolarpettai and Arakkonam. Likewise, on 19 May, KSR Bengaluru-Arakkonam Passenger (56262) will be partially cancelled between Jolarpettai and Arakkonam. Both the trains will run from KSR Bengaluru to Jolarpettai only.
The trains will run as passenger special from Jolarpettai to Arakkonam after cancellation of line block, the release said.
