Hyderabad: The Telangana police yesterday arrested a woman who impersonated as a television producer and cheated several aspiring TV and movie artistes.
According to a media report, Y Sreelatha collected huge amount of money from the victims after promising them roles in movies and television.
She had a fake Facebook account where she allegedly claimed to be the producer of a leading Telugu television network. The began the probe after two men complained that she had taken Rs 50,000 and Rs 6 lakh, respectively. Following this police arrested her from Bengaluru on Friday.
