Kalakar Studio host fifth annual art exhibition

Chennai: Kalakar Studio recently hosted ‘Rang De’ – the fifth annual art exhibition of it’s students on 22 and 23 June at CP Art Center. A press release said, over forty artists from ages five to 70 participated in the event displaying their works which they had learned at the studio. The theme for this year’s exhibition was butterflies and rainbows. There was extensive usage of art media like crayons, pastels, poster colours, acrylics and oils among others on the paintings displayed. Children and adults participated enthusiastically in this event. Kalakar studio at Alwarpet is run by artist Komal Savla. They conduct classes and also weekend art workshops.
