The winners receiving trophies at the quiz contest held in Chennai recently.

Chennai: AMM Matriculation Higher Secondary School won third edition of the Galaxy Science and Technology Quiz competition conducted by the Rotary Club of Chennai Galaxy here recently.

PSBB School, K K Nagar and Bhavan Rajaji Vidyasram won the second and third prize respectively, a press release said.

ADGP Crime, Md Shakeel Akthar distributed the prizes to the winners in the presence of Rotary District (3232) Chandramohan and Rotary Club of Chennai Galaxy president Karthik.

The event saw the participation of more than 1,400 students from over 120 schools in and around Chennai. The winners won exciting prizes such as laptops, all-in-one desktops and tablets. The questions were based on the theme of Science and Technology. The quiz was conducted by renowned quizmaster Navin Jayakumar from the Quiz Foundation of India, the release said.
