Chennai: Members of Chitlapakkam Muthulakshmi Nagar Welfare Association have installed roadside rainwater harvesting (RWH) in seven more places in the neighbourhood last week.
The development has come after it was decided in the executive meeting held 4 August.
Association president L Sundararaman said funds were raised by the association and after getting permission, RWH was installed at Thiru Vi Ka Street, Sairam Street, Bhagat Singh Street, Kambar Street, Adhiaman Street, Vyasar Street and Advocate Janakiraman Street.
“The lid was prepared by us instead of readymade. It is decided to install more RWH (at least 10) in the remaining streets in the coming weeks,” he added.
