Chennai: Expectations are big on Asuran as it brings together National winning filmmaker Vetri Maaran and National Award winning actor Dhanush together again after Polladhavan, Aadukalam and Vada Chennai. The movie would be out in maximum screens 4 October.
Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, it features Malayalam actress Manju Warrier opposite Dhanush. Ammu Abirami, T J Arunachalam, Balaji Sakthivel, Aadukalam Naren, Ken Karunaas, Pasupathy and Subramania Siva in the cast. Music is by GV Prakash. The film is based on a novel Vekkai by Poomani and the entire movie is set in 1960s and 80s.
Dhanush, says, “Vettrimaran and I share an excellent rapport. All my movies with him were declared hits. I always believe that he would give me the best output. An Above all we are very good friends. As a writer, he gives me challenging characters and give my acting skills a new scope. And I believe Asuarn is the best from our combo. I hope audience will also feel the same.”
