Chennai: Thavam that speaks about the travails of agrarians is all set to hit the marquee on 8 November. Directed by Vijay Anand and Suriyan, the film has Naam Thamizhar chief Seeman playing a teacher in a rural school.
Vasi and Poojasri play the lead pair. The director duo says, “We have made the film with the strength of our story. It talks about the significance of farming and cultivation and women empowerment. Though thereās a message, it is not preachy. Any filmmaker in Tamil cinema has not touched the romantic angle we have explored. Though Vasi is a debutant, he performed like a seasoned actor.”
