Vijay Sethupathi-Trisha’s romantic film, 96, turned out to be one of the biggest hits in 2018 and both the actors garnered rave response for their performances. The film is currently being remade in Telugu featuring Sharwanand and Samantha in the lead roles.
On Tuesday, the makers revealed the title of the film along with the first look poster featuring Sharwanand. Directed by C Prem Kumar, the Telugu version of the film has been titled Jaanu.
Samantha shared the poster of the film on her social media page and wrote, “Another special film and a role that has challenged me to be better than I was yesterday…(sic)”
Major portions of the film were shot in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Maldives and Kenya. 96 composer Govind Vasantha is scoring the music for the Telugu version too.
