Chennai: M Rajkumar hit a century while K Harish took 5 wickets on the first day of the CDCA Inter school Invitational Under -17 cricket tournament held at Sumangali Cricket Grounds, Santhoshapuram, here, Monday.

Representing Valluvar Gurukulam School, Ramkumar scored 102 runs helping his team post 195 for the loss of seven wickets in 25 overs against Gateway International School. Chasing the total, the latter only managed 147 for the loss of four wickets.
In another match, Blessings MHSS’ K Harish took a five for 25 helping his team defeat Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare.

Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet 130 all out in 22.3 overs (K Harish 5 for 25 ) lost to Blessings M H S S, Thirukazghukundram 131 for 3 in 21 overs (D Kabilan 59 no)

Gurukulam MHSS 93 for 8 in 25 overs lost to Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Avigna Celeste 97 for no loss in 9.1 overs (Diwakar, 28 no, Mohan 28 no)

B M Global Bollineni Hillside 145 for 6 in 25 overs (M Yathin 40, V Srivatsav 34) beat Mahindra World School, 54 all out in 19.2 overs (Prakul Balaji 4 for 19)

Kendriya Vidya – ll, TBM 264 for 8 in 25 overs ( V Yuvan Harsha 44, Alok Pandey 30) beat Government HSS, Kovilambakkam, 24 all-out in 9.1 overs
