Colombo: Dushmantha Chameera and Wanindu Hasaranga have been issued no-objection certificated by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Board to take part in the UAE leg of the IPL 2021.

The permission for the players was granted by the SLC in consultation with the Technical Advisory Committee, SLC said in a statement. ‘The ‘No Objection Certificate’ to the duo was issued for them to join the IPL teams starting from 15th September (following the completion of the South Africa Tour of Sri Lanka),’ it added.
Sources say that both the players will join the Sri Lanka squad on 10 October  to play in the two warm-up games prior to the ICC men’s T20 World Cup qualifiers.
Remember, the IPL 2021 was postponed midway in May in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. It  will resume on 19 September in Dubai with a clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians.
Many players of CSK including Dhoni, and Raina are already in Dubai. They hit the nets after the mandatory quarantine. Raveendra Jadeja is expected to join the squad after the England series.
