Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Friday took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that the latter “copied” phrases used by him.
“I can make the Prime Minister say whatever I want,” Rahul Gandhi said, addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Raebareli.
He went on to say, “I said ‘Narendra Modiji you never take the names of Adani, Ambani’ and two days later, Narendra Modi said ‘Adani-Ambani’. I said we’ll transfer money into bank accounts taka-tak taka-tak taka-tak… PM Modi then used “taka-tak” in his speech.”
He asked the public what they wanted to hear from PM Modi, claiming that he can “make him say it”.
“If you don’t want PM Modi to say something, you can tell me that as well,” the Congress leader said.
Rahul Gandhi is contesting the Lok Sabha poll from Raebareli. The incumbent MP from the seat, Sonia Gandhi, joined the Rajya Sabha in February this year.
