The much-awaited comedy drama Gangers, directed by Sundar C, has dropped its first single titled Kuppan, adding to the excitement surrounding the film’s release. The song, which has been picturized on the leading lady Catherine Tresa, showcases her in an energetic and lively avatar. Composed by C Sathya, the track features lyrics by Pa Vijay and is sung by Meenakshi and Gunasundari.Gangers brings together the iconic duo of Sundar C and Vadivelu in lead roles. The trailer released earlier introduces Sundar C as an undercover cop, who takes on the guise of a physical education trainer at a school. Alongside him is Vadivelu, playing a bumbling teacher who adds to the comedic element. Sundar C’s character is on a mission to outsmart a group of thieves and steal crores of rupees, blending action, comedy, and drama in a unique narrative.
The film also boasts a strong supporting cast, including Bagavathi Perumal, Esakki Krishnasamy, Hareesh Peradi, Mime Gopi, and Munishkanth, each contributing their own touch to the story.
Sundar C and Vadivelu’s collaboration has long been a fan favorite, with successful films like Winner, Giri, Thalainagaram, and London in their joint portfolio. Their last collaboration was in Nagaram Marupakkam in 2010, making Gangers a highly anticipated reunion of this beloved pairing.
