The DMK has criticised AIADMK leader and Opposition Leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) for using harsh and disrespectful language while addressing the ruling party and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. In a social media post, the DMK’s IT wing accused EPS of lowering the standard of political discourse. They said that EPS, being frustrated with his political future, has been making remarks without showing basic civility or dignity. The party warned that if such comments continue, they would not hesitate to respond more sharply.
The statement comes at a time when EPS has been strongly attacking the DMK government on issues like law and order and governance. Recently, Municipal Administration Minister K.N. Nehru also criticised EPS, calling him a coward for targeting the DMK while avoiding criticism of senior BJP leaders like Amit Shah.
