BJP leader K. Annamalai has strongly criticised the DMK, saying that “theft and exploitation are ingrained in the DNA of the party.”
He was reacting to an incident in Madurai where a caterer, who had provided food during a temple festival, complained that he was not paid the promised amount by DMK functionary Ochi Balu. When he asked for the payment, the caterer said he was insulted and questioned about his caste.
Annamalai said this shows the true face of the DMK. He accused the ruling party of speaking about social justice in public while engaging in exploitation in practice. He added that this incident reflects the attitude of the DMK towards ordinary people.
