This Diwali, Avatar: Fire and Ash arrived in Indian theatres with a grand welcome. The film created a festive mood across the country, as fans celebrated the arrival of Pandora in a unique way.Theatres were decorated like the world of Pandora. People lit hundreds of diyas to form the famous Avatar “A” symbol. Large rangolis inspired by Pandora added to the celebrations, mixing global cinema with Indian culture.
Avatar films have always been loved by Indian audiences. The first two movies became huge hits in India and built a strong fan base. The new film takes viewers deeper into Pandora and opens up unseen parts of the story.
Directed by James Cameron, Avatar: Fire and Ash will be released on 19 December 2025 in six languages — English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
The film is being called the biggest cinematic event of the year and is expected to create another box office success in India.
