Teachers across Tamil Nadu continued their protest for the eighth consecutive day, as talks with the government failed to bring any resolution. The agitation is being held to press for long-pending demands related to pay parity, service benefits and regularisation.
Despite several rounds of discussions, no clear assurance has been given so far, leading to growing disappointment among the protesting teachers. They said repeated promises without concrete action have forced them to remain on the streets.
The ongoing protest has affected normal functioning in several places, with teachers urging the government to intervene immediately and resolve the issue at the earliest. The teachers warned that the agitation would continue until their demands are addressed.
