The trailer of 29, directed by Rathna Kumar, was released on Tuesday, offering a glimpse into a romantic drama centred on self-discovery, ambition and emotional conflict ahead of its theatrical release on May 8.
Starring Vidhu and Preethi Asrani in the lead roles, the film follows Sathya, a 29-year-old man struggling with an identity crisis, whose life changes after meeting Viji, an ambitious UPSC aspirant.
The trailer portrays Sathya as someone directionless and uncertain about his future, while Viji appears determined and goal-oriented. Their evolving relationship gradually turns complicated as their ambitions and perspectives begin to clash.
The film also stars Mahendran, Avinash and Shehnaz Fathima in key roles. Music has been composed by Sean Roldan.
Jointly produced by Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Creations and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s G Squad, the film has generated strong buzz among audiences following the trailer launch.
