The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) has appointed Sowmya Anbumani as its Legislative Party leader in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, marking an important organisational development within the party after the recent elections.
Sowmya Anbumani, who recently secured a strong electoral win from the Dharmapuri constituency, was chosen for the role amid internal discussions on legislative representation and leadership coordination in the Assembly.
A member of the PMK and wife of party leader Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss, Sowmya has emerged as one of the key political faces of the party following her electoral success, where she defeated her nearest rival by a significant margin.
