Chennai, May 14:
Chief Minister Vijay is preparing to launch a large-scale public outreach programme, marking his first major direct engagement with people after assuming office. Preparations are currently in progress, and an official announcement with full details is expected soon.
Vijay had earlier conducted extensive public meetings as the leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Now, as Chief Minister, he is set to expand this engagement across the state. The outreach programme is expected to cover multiple districts, where he will meet people, thank them for their support, and interact directly with citizens.
The programme will also include districts that Vijay could not visit during the election campaign due to time and logistical constraints. By visiting these areas now, he aims to strengthen his connection with voters and ensure wider public interaction.
As part of the outreach, Vijay is expected to receive petitions from the public, making it both a political and administrative initiative. Planning discussions are likely to take place with party leaders at the Panaiyur office, followed by coordination with district officials to ensure smooth execution.
The initiative comes soon after Vijay secured a majority in the Assembly, and signals a shift towards governance focused on accessibility, grievance redressal, and maintaining direct contact with the public.
