Chennai,  June 29:

V.Sabareesan, political advisor to Opposition DMK and son-in-law of party president MK Stalin, has issued a legal notice to Tamil Nadu ministers Aadhav Arjuna and CTR Nirmal Kumar, demanding an apology for allegedly making some defamatory remarks against him or face legal action.

In the notice he wanted them to retract their defamatory statements and tender an apology in 15 days failing which civil and criminal proceedings would be initiated.

He said during the last few days the Ministers are making some remarks against him with ulterior motives. “Just I happened to be the son-in-law of the DMK President, I cannot accept such defamatory remarks. Both the Minsiters should give an assurance that they would not utter any defamatory remarks against him in future and tender an apology within 15 days or else face legal action”, Sabareesan added.

The legal notice followed the alleged remarks made by Aadhav Arjuna alleging money collection in various government departments along with then Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi during the previous DMK regime, while Nirmal Kumar made statements linking Stalin, Udhayanidhi and Sabareesan along with AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami and his son for reportedly attempting to form a DMK-AIADMK regime in a bid to prevent TVK founder Vijay, who emerged as the single largest party in the recent election, from ascending the throne.
