Washington, June 29:
The United States and Iran have agreed to suspend military actions and resume high-level talks in Doha this week, in a bid to stabilise their fragile ceasefire after recent escalations.
According to reports, both sides will halt all “kinetic activity” while technical negotiations continue, particularly over the contentious Strait of Hormuz. The talks, scheduled for Tuesday in Qatar, aim to resolve disputes that recently pushed the truce to the brink.
Tensions had flared after fresh exchanges of missile and drone strikes, with both nations accusing each other of violating the agreement. Despite this, officials have now stepped back, signalling a renewed push for diplomacy.
