Chennai, June 29:
Launching a strong broadside against the ruling TVK headed by Chief Minister Vijay and accusing it of plunging the state to absymal depths on various fronts, Opposition DMK President and former Chief Minister M K Stalin on Sunday night forecast midterm polls to the Tamil Nadu Assembly would be held soon and that it could happen in three or six months.
Speaking at a party event wherein supporters of various parties joined the DMK in his presence, he said,People are now regretting as to why they have voted for this regime as they were put to various hardships by this unresponsive government.
Exhorting the DMK cadres to function to protect this, he said elections (read as midterm polls) could come at any.moment as the present government headed by TVK lacked majority and it was running on the support of the ex-allies of the DMK.
“Elections can come at any time. It can come soon, It can come after three months..can come after six months, because the present regime did not win with a majoirty of its own.’..
