Dnipro, Oct 30:
At least 13 people were killed and 10 others injured after a jet-powered Russian drone struck two passenger trains stopped at a railway station in the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro on Thursday, officials said.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the incident as a “horrific attack” in a post on X. The drone hit the trains while they were stationary at the station, turning a civilian transport facility into the site of a deadly attack.
The strike adds to the human toll of Russia’s continuing war against Ukraine, with passenger services and other civilian infrastructure remaining vulnerable. The reported casualties underline the risks faced by ordinary people travelling through major transport hubs as the conflict continues.
