Coming from a man, this article may be a bit chauvinistic for some. But, before you get defensive, let me be clear. I know women do not dress up for men and I’m not saying you should. But if you have a man in your life you really like and want to catch his eye, this might just do the trick.

Let’s be honest, women appreciate when a guy takes the time to notice the effort they put into looking their best, just like how we guys appreciate when you girls compliment our style. So, here are four everyday attires that I think women wear that men secretly love.

Glasses
A woman wearing glasses is sexy for many reasons: The right pair of glasses makes a woman look like there’s more to her than meets the eye. Is she a genius? Does she read? Is she into poetry? Why doesn’t our culture’s vanity get to her and make her wear contacts? We guys don’t know, but you can bet we’re walking up to you at the bar to find out.

Sundresses

Remember the opening scene in La La Land where an entire ensemble of dancers shake their legs to the tune of ‘Another Day of Sun‘? Remember the first girl in the yellow dress who opened the doors of her car and fell right into the hearts of countless lads? Yes, sundresses can have that kind of effect on men. You even find Emma Stone rocking a few in the same movie and gosh she looks beautiful in ‘A lovely night’.

So, ladies, take it from me. You can never go wrong in a sundress. Right from the ’60s and ’70s, up until now, sundresses have always been in trend. Do yourself and countless other men a favour and get a sundress next time you hit the stores.

Off-shoulder tops

Guys really love it when girls show a hint of their neckline without really revealing too much, and off the shoulder tops and dresses surely do the trick with that! For some reason, we men are attracted to the area around our neck and shoulders often called the ‘decolletage’. Men find that part of our body very sexy, without being too sexy or ‘raunchy’.

Think more along the lines of ‘sensual and classy’ instead of ‘trashy’. The off-the-shoulder piece is flirty, playful and fun, and also makes a guy more attracted to you because of its laid back and simple yet cute and tasteful impression.

Men often match our fashion choices with our personality. So, if your style makes you appear like a fun and laid back person, he’s definitely more likely to approach you and stick around!

Yoga pants

We’ve heard some people complain about yoga pants before, but let’s be honest: Yoga pants will always make men give you a second glance even after you have walked by them (especially after you have walked by them).

Just like high heels, yoga pants accentuate the good features and make women look good, really good. A man can’t help but take a look. Though bright colours are the in-thing now, classics like black, grey and beige never go out of fashion when it comes to yoga pants.
