Chennai: It took just five days for actor Simbu to reverse his stand on celebrating his birthday without cutouts and milk abhishekam.
In a moving video on 15 January 2019, the actor, after wishing his fans a happy Pongal, went on to give an emotional appeal.
With his birthday falling 3 February, he had requested his fans not to spend money on erecting huge cutouts and doing milk abhishekam for the cutouts. He said your priority should be your parents. With the money that you spend on the flex boards and milk abhishekam, buy a saree for your mother and shirt for your father, he suggested to his fans. He also said he would be happy to see the videos of these gifts uploaded for him.
But today, he released another video in which he told his fans, “vera levella seyreenga” for his birthday.
He told them to erect huge banners and do milk abhishekam – not just from a packet but in huge pots (anda). There is no knowing what made him change his mind so fast.
