Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Super Deluxe starring Vijay Sethupathi in one of the lead roles as a transgender has received ‘A’ certification with zero cuts from the censors. The film’s new promo released yesterday has also set the expectations soaring.

Vijay Sethupathi is performing as a transwoman named Shilpa in Super Deluxe and Ramya Krishnan who won hearts as Sivakami in Baahubali will be seen as a porn star. Ramya has said that it is one of the most challenging roles in her career.
Considering the sexually coloured dialogues and nude scenes in the film, the Censor Board of Film Certification has issued a hard ‘A’ certificate with zero cuts in the film. It also revealed that the film’s runtime is 2 hours and 56 minutes. Super Deluxe is the second venture of Thiagarajan Kumararaja who previously directed the critically acclaimed Aaranya Kaandam.
The new promo of Ding Dong that was released yesterday is just as interesting as the trailer was. The promo of the song is made up of certain dialogues in the film and it makes you want to play it on repeat. In an interview, the director said that the purpose of the trailer and promos are to bring in the right audience to the theatre. He said, ‘If one likes the trailer, he will like the film.’

The film is touted to be one of the year’s most anticipated movie and will hit screens 29 March. Apart from VJS, Fahadh Faasil, Samantha Akkineni and Mysskin are also in prominent roles. The music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
