Byju Raveendran

Chennai: Byju Raveendran has been named to the 2020 Bloomberg 50, an annual list of innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders who have changed the global business landscape over the past year.

Started in 2017, an unranked list, the ‘Bloomberg 50’ represents the most influential thought leaders in business, entertainment, finance, politics, science and technology whose 2020 accomplishments were particularly noteworthy, a press release said.

This list recognises Byju’s efforts to create impactful and personalised learning experiences for school students in a bid to help them become better learners.

With 40 million students in March 2020, the company has seen a steep increase in the number of students during this pandemic. Today, Byju’s has 73 million registered students and 4.7 million paid subscriptions.
