Amidst action and horror films in Tamil cinema, comes AVV, an emotional family drama involving a big bunch of artistes. The need for joint family is what the movie tries to convey. It is more a story of family bonding and difference  between the many within a big family.
Gautham Karthik and Cheran play principal roles.Produced by P Ranganathan, Sri Vaari Film, it is written and directed by Nandha Periasamy. Music is by Siddhu Kumar. The star cast includes Saravanan,  Motta Rajendran, Venba,  Daniel Balaji, Kizhakku Cheemaiyile fame Vignesh, Singam Puli, Kumki Jommalloori, Lyricist Snegan, Namo Narayanan, Soundarajan, Mounicka, Maina, Paruthiveeran fame Sujatha, Priyanka, Nakkalite Dhanam and many others. Shivathmika Rajsekar is the heroine.

From the days of Sivaji starrer Pazhani till Mayandi Kudumbathar, we have seen many such stories. AVV is one more addition. When brothers in a family get separated due to women in their house, what happens forms the crux.

Gautham Karthik plays the hero and wins in his attempt. He is entertaining. Shivathmika is a welcome addition to Tamil cinema. Cheran hogs limelight with an emotional.portrayal. a subtle show by Saravanan. Daniel Balaji plays baddie. The rest of the cast come and go leaving a little impact.

AVV is cringe at places and fails to leaves an emotional connect. But Nandha Periyasamy can be lauded for taking up a movie with a good message.
