Coimbatore: Self-styled healer Bhaskar, who claims wonder cure for all diseases without taking any medicine, was arrested for allegedly imparting training to people on ensuring child birth through a normal and safe delivery without going to a doctor, police said.
Bhaskar was arrested following a complaint from the district health department that women may fall prey to such dangerous practice, they said.
Cases were registered against Bhaskar under sections 420 (cheating) and 511 (punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable), they added.
Bhaskar runs an organisation called Anatomic Therapy Foundation here which advocates healing methods without medication or going to the doctor.
The foundation has cancelled all the training programmes after Bhaskar’s arrest, the police said.
