Chennai: Avvai Nagar Main Road in Indra Nagar at Selaiyur in the city suburb was recently dug up for laying underground drainage lines.
However, work was stopped midway citing various reasons. It was said that it will resume after a brief break.
But that was not to be, thereby leaving the road in a bad shape. Now, even for a small drizzle, water stagnates making it difficult to commute.
Since this is one of the major links, residents want officials to ensure that the UGD work is completed and the stretch re-laid before any mishaps take place.
