Chennai: Post the death of DMK chief M Karunanidhi’s death, cadres across the State are hoping that the working president M K Stalin would helm the reins.
An emergency meeting is set up today to discuss about the party affairs and also to elect the new leader.
The announcement for the meeting was made by DMK General Secretary K Anbalagan on 10 August.
The meeting is held at DMK party headquarters Anna Arivalyam in Chennai.
Three members from the State have arrived for the meeting.
