Chennai: It’s quite hard to forget the nail-biting perceptions released about the alliances small parties will be making during the 2016 TN assembly elections.
Of this, the drama created by Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) was worth a mention as after a long silence, GK Vasan joined hands with Makkal Nala Kootani. Although, it didn’t prove fruitful, he did make headlines at that time.
Now, with the 2019 parliamentary elections round-the-corner, small parties like TMC have again turned out to be the talk of the town with perceptions already going rounds that TMC will either join with Rajinikanth’s new party or DMK.
Vasan will be soon be participating in a memorial meeting of Karunanidhi in Tirunelveli on 26 August, which has amplified the percpetions further.
But dismissing all such claims, Vasan has said that no alliance has been decided yet and it will be decided based on the wishes of party workers and public at the time of elections.
