Chennai: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Science Club was inaugurated at the Sankara Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Tambaram in the city suburb recently.
A press release said, the programme commenced with Thulasi Vandhanam and had various elements like speech and dance by kindergarten students on Science, highlighting formation of molecules. The chief guest of the event was Sunanda Prem of Sitadevi Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya.
The guest of honor was Sankara group of schools, CEO, K R Sundararajan. School principal P Jayalakshmi was also present on the occasion during which various competitions were conducted for students and prizes were given.
A Science expo was also organised by the institution.
